I am a registered dietitian and writer.
After graduating college (the first time), I became more interested in nutrition and began to notice that the information I found was often conflicting and confusing. Thus, I decided to become a registered dietitian to be a voice of factual information, with the mission of combining my skills and interests in writing and communications.
I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2010 with a B.A. in Mass Communications/Journalism. I later returned to school at Nicholls State University and graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Dietetics. Afterwards, I moved to Houston, TX to complete a dietetic internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and also earned my M.S. in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University.
I currently work in Chicago as a registered dietitian. In addition, I work as a freelance writer for nutrition-focused publications.
